현천 공립형 대안 고등학교

강원도에서 횡성 폐교부지에 처음으로 학생들의 자유로운 교과교육을 위한 공립형 대안 고등학교. 이 학교를 건립하기까지 학교 부적응 학생을 위해서 우리는 4년의 기간 동안 학교 환경연구부터 개교까지 불모지에서의 환경을 만들어가는 힘든 과정을 거쳐 학생들에게 보다 자율적이고 다양성을 갖춘 교육공간. 한국 공교육 환경의 감성화 공간의 발판의 시작이 된 의미 있는 작업.

In Hoengseong, Gangwon Province, we established the first public alternative high school on a former closed school site to provide students with free and flexible curriculum-based learning. Over the course of four years, we went through a challenging process — from conducting research on school environments to finally opening the school — in order to create a supportive setting for students struggling with conventional education. The result was an educational space that values greater autonomy and diversity, marking a meaningful beginning as a foundation for emotionally enriching spaces within Korea’s public education system.
